The President’s Message
How the Group Was Formed
The T&M Group was formed with a desire to develop the expertise each company has built, and its connections with customers and partners, into greater possibilities. By bringing together our individual strengths and sharing ideas across company boundaries, we can address challenges that a single company could not fully resolve alone. I believe that building these relationships is the starting point for our journey as a Group.
T&M TECH serves as the parent company so that our companies can focus on their daily business while the Group as a whole makes decisions with the future in mind. Our role is to respect each company’s autonomy and expertise while establishing a shared direction, strengthening our foundations in management, people, and digital capabilities, and connecting the resources and knowledge we need. Through this role, I aim to support each company’s efforts from a long-term perspective.
Our Business Perspective & Strengths
Advances in technology, digitalization, and changes in markets in Japan and overseas continue to reshape what customers need and how they approach their challenges. In this environment, I believe that both an understanding of technology and a willingness to listen to people working on the front lines are becoming more important than ever.
Our strengths lie in the specialist knowledge and experience of our companies and the trust we have built through sincere, dependable service every day. By combining these strengths with our market networks of companies and manufacturers in Japan and overseas, we connect the right technologies with the challenges they can help address. Sharing knowledge across the Group and drawing on one another’s areas of expertise will further expand the value we can deliver to customers.
We are committed to understanding our customers’ challenges carefully and continuing to provide proposals grounded in our expertise, together with sincere and dependable service. With our business associates and partners, we will build relationships that support mutual growth while respecting one another’s strengths and perspectives. Strategic Priorities
For our future growth, I intend to focus on three areas: global collaboration, the use of digital transformation (DX) and AI, and the development of our people and organization.
Connecting the Japanese Market with Overseas Technologies and Companies.
We will connect the potential of technologies from overseas manufacturers and companies with the challenges and needs of customers in Japan. By deepening our understanding of markets and business practices and building trusted relationships with partners in Japan and overseas, we will turn new business opportunities into growth for the Group.
Using Digital Transformation and AI to Support Human Expertise.
We will review how we share information and carry out our work, exploring ways to use digital technologies to support people’s experience and judgment. We will assess the potential of digital transformation and AI by starting with practical challenges in our operations, rather than treating implementation itself as the goal. I want these capabilities to strengthen collaboration among our companies and help us deliver value to customers.
Building an Organization That Supports Learning and New Challenges.
The future of our Group is shaped by the contribution of every individual. We will respect our employees’ expertise and initiative and create an environment in which people can learn from one another across company boundaries and take on new challenges. By combining the knowledge of colleagues with diverse experience, we aim to build an organization in which individual development contributes to the growth of the Group.
Over the medium and long term, we aim to become a Group in which collaboration further strengthens each company’s capabilities and enables us to continue bringing new proposals to changing markets.
